This same innovative approach was pursued by all of the brands in their stores, of which there are 5,460 across 97 markets at the close of the fiscal year. Some of the most prominent Zara openings included the Noon Square store in Seoul (South Korea), the Shinsaibashi store in Osaka (Japan), the Zara Man store on Vía del Corso in Roma (Italy) and new stores in the US, in the cities of Los Ángeles, Las Vegas and Charlotte. High-profile refurbishments included the Avenida Diagonal store in Barcelona and the Serrano flagship in Madrid.
Massimo Dutti, for its part, inaugurated stores in Bangalore (India), Saint Tropez (France) and Xi’an (China), to name the biggest openings. Pull&Bear opened a store on London’s Oxford Street (UK), one of that chain’s milestones last year, and inaugurated flagship stores in Warsaw, Nice and Belfast. Oysho opened new stores in Paris (France), Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Berlin (Germany), while Lefties unveiled its new flagship store in Westfield Parquesur in Madrid (Spain). Zara Home inaugurated a store in downtown Hamburg (Germany) and bolstered its position in Asia by reopening its Seoul store (South Korea). Stradivarius cemented its presence in Germany with seven new stores and made its début in Austria with an opening in Vienna. Bershka added new markets to its footprint, with its first stores in Mumbai (India), Copenhagen (Denmark) and Stockholm (Sweden).
